A heartfelt thank you to Brian Rittmeyer from TribLive and the kind reporter from WPXI-TV Pittsburgh Channel 11 News for joining us today to cover our Comfort Bag project! On behalf of the Northern Allegheny Rotary Club, we’re proud to partner with the McCandless Police Department from Town of McCandless to support victims of domestic violence in our community.
During today’s meeting at Walnut Grill in Wexford, we presented 20 fully stocked Comfort Bags to the McCandless Police. These bags—filled with toiletries, socks, snacks, blankets, and more—will be distributed to individuals who are suddenly displaced from their homes and in need of immediate care and support.
We’re especially grateful to Chief of Police Lt. Ryan Hawk and Lt. Eric Egli for joining us, sharing more about their important work in the community, and helping to raise awareness about the ongoing need for these critical resources.
This meaningful project was inspired by Past Rotary District 7305 Governor Dan Daugherty and brought to life by our dedicated club members, who donated every item and assembled each bag with care. @rotarydistrict7305
Thank you to all who are making a difference, one act of kindness at a time.
